Are you ready?

With restrictions changing a lot, particularly in my state of Victoria, it is enough to make one's head spin, let alone attempt to negotiate what is possible (and what is not). But with a light at the end of the tunnel and the situation rapidly changing both here and in Japan, it has given us pause to reflect.. are we ready for what comes next? It is hard to believe we can do anything, but the point I am making is, we need to have faith and be prepared. This is true not just in our journey on earth but the more eternal perspective.
While it is true that what we say and do on earth does indeed count towards how and where we spend forever, it does not hurt to have our checklist sorted with our ticket in hand just like a real trip. So the questions we need to ask are, "Are we investing our time properly? Is our mind focussed on Kingdom living or just survival? Do we faith that is floundering or flourishing? Do we devote time and activities towards worthwhile pursuits?
Those questions are important as we work towards the goal and purpose has set for us and I know many of us can relate even if we are not called to foreign lands, far from our loved ones. Making our time count not to satisfy ourselves, but living in such a way for which our Heavenly Father God says "Well done, good and faithful servant" is what matters.
