One thing I have learned in all the time I have studied (2015-2018 both at Harvest Bible College and Alphacrucis respectively), is that missions is never tidy or a point A to point B approach. It is a wild ride, can bring many a heartache and tears, but is always rewarding, even in the little things. As of 15th of January, we were given the green light by ACCI to promote, network and fundraise Connecting Japan. The more challenging part is that we have not a lot of time for a few reasons. Firstly, there is the matter of Heather (who is in year 11) going to school in Japan later in the year. In Australia, we start the school year in January and she will be halfway through Year 11 by this point. However, as Japan starts in September or in some cases later in August, it leaves little room, so we need to fundraise now because we would prefer to be in Japan by late June or early July at the latest. How can you help? Well there are two main ways such as 1) One off donations or 2) Monthly donations. In a few weeks we will update the website to provide the ACCI (Australian Christian Churches International - Missions organization) link so that you can donate to that account. The reasons are for clarity and acccountability as we are field workers with ACCI and for security. While Japan is a very safe place, there are over 140 other missionaries on the books of ACCI that are not nearly as fortunate, as many countries' governments are often corrupt and the money would not reach them.

Our last view of Fukuoka (for now).
