It starts and stops with me!

Taking the train home from the city gives us lots of time to ponder what we can learn and grow from in this season. The ACC VIC State Conference was no different, but in a lot of ways, it challenges us to reflect how well we are caring for ourselves, so that we can be better a leading, learning and loving others too.

It is a sobering thought that one of of our guest speakers declared "It starts and stops with me". We know we have to be mindful of our actions, thoughts and feelings, whether good or bad influences, but the bigger question is "Are we doing the right things that God wants us to do?"

Too many times the enemy steals our time, something that I have had difficulties with this year. We often categorise other tasks over more vital ones, and sadly, we have our bodies tell us "Enough!" For me, this conference was a confirmation of a tough decision I have to make, if we are truly serious for the journey ahead.

We may be risk averse, to play it safe, but at the end of the day, what God places on our hearts, should be bigger than us. Connecting Japan is evolving from a simple online presence and has grown into so much more. Being aware of all that has transpires, that I want to give God

my all for His Kingdom and the people of Japan.

So no matter what shape your journey takes, maybe we should all take a self-check. Are we leading ourselves well and operating in the right path God has, or do we need to take some time out to reflect? Either way, God loves us and wants to see us live our best lives for Him.
