Seek Me.

As I was pondering what God was saying to us for 2022, I was looking through feeds on social media, when He stopped me in my tracks and said "Seek Me". Now that sounds like a fairly simple request, but when we are running around like "headless chooks" doing things for church, work and missions then it is hard for God to get a word in! In the quietness of my soul crushing day, He spoke softly to remind me that He is the ultimate source when things do not make sense, or bring us down or even look uncertain. He also reminded me when were not born to "fix things" that are His job, and I got a picture of document trays marked "In", "Out" and "Too Hard". The "In" and the "Out" are part of our faith and work process (yes, God is still involved), but the "Too Hard" is His tray alone. We may mark it as "Too Hard" in our human frailty, but God does not see it that way because of his all- knowing, all- present and all-powerful spirit. When we surrender those trays and all to Him, we can be still and see what He does, while we pray through it all. Eventually, in His will and timing will we see the complete picture.
