When rest may be necessary to move forward

From late April to mid June we have been working very hard, with very little break in between. While it is often said going to a conference is like a holiday, well it is more like the 'working holiday' for most of us, and missionaries are not exempt! Julie took time for the ACC National Conference ( 29/4- 3/5) in the Gold Coast which did not disappoint! if you have not been to one, there is plenty of time to save up till the next one in 2021! Some of our dear friends (A special thank you to Rhiannon and Michael Walls) for making her birthday one to remember. Although the conference is primarily for pastors, the missionaries were made to feel extra special and Connecting Japan had the opportunity to sit down with one of the pastors from South Australia. Late June saw school holidays come upon us and in that time of the year it is a three week break, which as most Australians know, the states do not always align! This rest time meant a refreshing and recharging of batteries. Sadly, as our time line is now stretched out to January 2020, it means that Pan Asia 2019 was not a viable option, so back to work we go!
