Who will be part of the journey?

One of the most humbling parts of the missionary journey are the people whom God will choose to be part of it. What I do know is never assume who the people, or the church or the organizations will be! We have learnt a great deal through this process by attending the Regional Conferences about who are passionate for missions and who are not. Regional Conferences are held only once a year (there are 9 in Australian Christian Churches Victoria). So we wanted to make a good impression on the 3 we were invited to participate (City South, City West South and Gippsland). Each event was different, and we prayed for an open mind. One of the greatest privileges was to be able to speak at City West South (Hoppers Crossing - Equip Church) with Ps. Phil Shand as the host. I was so proud to be part of a church movement that passionately supports missionaries! The Gippsland event, though small left impressions on us as well. An old lady gave us money and promised to support us though it was small. Goes to prove that one should not despise small beginnings.
